Yuan Mung Bean & Job’s Tear Soap features a powerful combination of two herbal ingredients which help prevent signs of aging and exfoliate the skin for a natural glow. Mung bean has a mild abrasive texture, which gives the skin a beauty boost by exfoliating it thoroughly. It gently sheds off dead cells, dirt, dust, grime, and excess sebum from the surface of the skin, thereby unveiling the fresh layer of skin underneath. The exfoliating and skin lightening properties of mung beans cumulatively work to brighten up the complexion significantly. They are known to fortify the skin texture with vitamin A and vitamin C, which help in enhancing the skin texture, too.
Job’s Tear (or Pearl Barley) is high in vitamin B3, also known as niacin, which is known to also help brighten skin and even out the complexion. It is also rich in peptides, which helps firm the skin and limit skin aging.

How Yuan soaps are made
Each bar of Yuan handmade soap has a relatively long condensation period of 60 days because it’s cold-processed. In the cold process, no heat is involved, hence ensuring that the goodness of ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil are preserved, allowing your skin to be nourished with moisture when using our handmade soaps.

How to Use
Lather the soap well on your hands first, then apply on your face and body (not apply directly on your body). Store your soap in a soap net to drain it completely after use.
Invest in a soap net as it speeds up the foaming process and helps the soap last a relatively long period of time. Soap nets also help to exfoliate and remove dull surface cells to reveal brighter, healthier skin.
Key Ingredients
Vigna radiata (mung bean) seed oil
Mung bean contains an enzyme called phytoestrogen, which aids in the secretion of elastin and collagen keeping the skin tone healthy. Known for its cooling effect, it also helps clear heat and toxins from the body, which is beneficial in treating acne.
Coix lacryma-jobi ma-yuen (Job’s Tear) seed extract
This extract is rich in essential amino acids, calcium, iron, and vitamin B, which helps release wastes from the skin and gently remove dead cells for clear and fresh skin. It also contains organic acids that are good for managing pigmentations and blemishes. It’s not sticky and light, so it is suitable for people with oily skin that lacks moisture.
Cinnamomum cassia leaf oil
Used cosmetically or topically in general, this oil is reputed to calm dry skin. Its antibacterial properties make it ideal for use in addressing acne, rashes, and infections. Its antioxidant properties help to slow down skin aging.

Yuan soap contains lots of glycerine and moisturizing fats that are not yet saponified. In addition, All Yuan soaps go through a cold process and contain no artificial hardened ingredients and no hard oil. Those make Yuan’s products to be softer than the normal soaps. However, the softness does not affect the quality of the products at all.
