Yuan Purple Gromwell & Roselle Acne Soap contains a powerful combination of two potent herbs rich in vitamins and nutrients highly beneficial to the skin. Purple Gromwell contains a substance called allantoin, which accelerates the replacement of body cells, helping detoxify the skin to relieve facial and body acne, blackheads, and whiteheads. It also helps reduce eczema and soothe inflammation and skin allergy.
Meanwhile, Roselle is a good source of protein, fiber, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, niacin, and high level of vitamin C – all of which can aid in skin nourishment, fast wound healing, and pimple relief.

How Yuan soaps are made
Each bar of Yuan handmade soap has a relatively long condensation period of 60 days because it’s cold-processed. In the cold process, no heat is involved, hence ensuring that the goodness of ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil are preserved, allowing your skin to be nourished with moisture when using our handmade soaps.

How to Use
Lather the soap well on your hands first, then apply on your face and body (not apply directly on your body). Store your soap in a soap net to drain it completely after use.
Invest in a soap net as it speeds up the foaming process and helps the soap last a relatively long period of time. Soap nets also help to exfoliate and remove dull surface cells to reveal brighter, healthier skin.

Lithospermum officinale (gromwell) root extract
Lithospermum officinale is an herbaceous, perennial plant with potent medicinal properties. The root is the most commonly used part of the plant, which has been historically used to eat eruptive skin lesions like psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, measles, smallpox, hives, and rashes. Studies also revealed that it possessed antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and protective effects.
Hibiscus sabdariffa flower (roselle) extract
Native to India through Malaysia, this plant is a powerful ingredient that both exfoliates and moisturises the skin, and works as an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory agent. It also loaded with skin-boosting acids, particularly vitamin C, which encourages the body to produce more collagen in a natural way.
Verbena officinalis leaf extract
It is a perennial plant believed to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antispasmodic, and analgesic (pain-relieving) properties beneficial to one’s health.

Yuan soap contains lots of glycerine and moisturizing fats that are not yet saponified.
